Proper Food Combining:
Proper nutrition is a very serious and delicate
subject in our lives, from the moment of conception, through
the development of the fetus in the mother’s uterus
and birth, to physical and mental growth and the evolution
of personality and behavior patterns, up to the very last
moment of life.

With
the advancement of our understanding of human body and environment,
today we, more than ever, pay attention to the quantity and
quality of our food and nutrition. We know what an enormous
impact what we eat, to what extent, and in what particular combination,
has on our health, beauty, mental power, inner peace, and even
our personality characteristics. |

There
is a great deal written and spoken about proper eating and
the “right” diet. Nevertheless, many people are
still confused and unsure about what the best diet is, the
perfect way to combine foods, and how much and what kind of
foodstuffs to eat and when.
Pointing
to available statistics, researchers have discovered that
in today’s modern nations, a woman spends about 3-5
years, that is, about 1/20th, of her lifetime, engaged in
actions related to enhancing and maintaining beauty and a
better appearance. For men, these figures drop down to half!
But
why don’t we spend the same proportion of our time,
effort, and energy protecting and enhancing our physical and
mental health through educating ourselves about sound nutrition?
Perhaps
some, in response to this question, would say: with the
availability of a large number and variety of diets, formulas,
and complicated nutritional recommendations, people are
dazed and confused, and don’t know exactly where
to start or which to follow.

Those
familiar with the principles of learning know that one
must approach it in stages, step by step, from simple
to more complicated, the same way one would learn the
letters of the alphabet. Learning about proper nutrition
is no different. |
Proper
Food Combining And Its Simple Alphabet:
As
the first step in helping you learn how to eat right, the
Health and Beauty Institute has created color-coded diagrams
and flash cards filled with information about proper food
combining; information you can access easily and quickly at
any time, whether at home, the grocery store, at a party,
or a restaurant.
Proper
food combining recommendations coincide often with doctors’
nutritional recommendations and with many different weight-loss
diets.
Proper
food combining recommendations are meant to preserve and enhance
health and inner balance, and to prevent malfunction of the
body’s organs. This results in a natural enhancement
and preservation of beauty and physical and mental health,
as well as energy and strength.

As
an example, suppose you want to eat lamb or beef (red meat).
To use these flash cards, follow these simple steps:
A.
First look at the red card (colored with the color of the food,
in this case: red meat), OR at the card that has lamb or beef
written on it.
B. Then, note that the main ingredient of
your chosen food (red meat) is in the “meat protein”
category. The digestion of this category of food on average
requires 11 hours.
C. Third, look at the diagram on
the card to the left of the above card, which has a green border,
and which covers “non-starch vegetables”. This card
tells you which foods to combine with the original category,
in this case “meat protein”.
D. Finally, choose any of the vegetables
mentioned on the “non-starch vegetables” that you
like.
This
way, you will have chosen the right kind of vegetable with
your red meat, and will be able to enjoy a healthy diet, in
the proper combination. |
